in vacuum sucht hannah schillinger mit ihrem team nach wegen, prinzipien aus der quantenphysik tänzerisch und choreographisch zu erforschen. 

die beiden tänzer*innen daniel conant und georgia bettens tauchen in das innerste ihrer körper, bis sie auf der subatomaren ebene in sich angelangen und dort die imagination eines leeren und doch niemals leeren raums voller fluktuierender partikel betreten. es entfaltet sich eine spielende landschaft voller potentialitäten, superpositionen und brodelnder zustände, sich stetig wandelnd und doch immer gleichbleibend. eine tanzende forschungsreise durch die fülle der leere.

vacuum fragt danach, was ein körper weiß, wie wir unsere wahrnehmung durch imagination erweitern können und welche rolle aktives beobachten und zuhören dabei spielt.

ben glas spielt in vacuum mit relativistischen sinustönen, die sich je nach position im raum unterschiedlich wahrnehmen lassen. periklis lazarou gestaltet das licht. kate chen hat das bühnenbild kreiert.

in vacuum, hannah schillinger and her team are looking for ways to research principles of quantum physics through dance and choreography.

the two dancers georgia bettens and daniel conant enter their bodies of electrons and then the fiction of an empty, never empty space full of fluctuating particles. what unfolds is a playing landscape full of potentialities, superpositions and boiling states, constantly shifting and yet continous. vacuum is a danced research journey through the fullness of emptiness.

vacuum asks what a body knows, how we can augment our perception through imagination and which role active observing and listening plays.

ben glas plays with relativistic sine tones, which are perceived differently depending on one’s position in space. periklis lazarou designed the lights. kate chen designed the stage.
