The Solo "spin off" is based on the graduation piece „runners“ by Hannah Schillinger at HZT Berlin, which premiered in June 2022 with a group of 7 dancers at Reinbeckhallen Berlin. This „virtual sculpture“ devotes itself to a large circular object. What played a supporting role in the original piece, becomes a main character here. Together, the dancer and the object explore transforming loops of exhaustion into cyclical processes of regeneration and resourcing. They navigate through spheres of labour, care, fiction and play, dive into the poetics of attention, circularity and subtle surprise and open a space for contemplative recalibration.

Das Solo „spin off” basiert auf dem Abschlussstück „runners“ von Hannah Schillinger am HZT Berlin, das im Juni 2022 mit einer Gruppe von sieben Tänzer*innen in den Reinbeckhallen Berlin uraufgeführt wurde. Diese „virtuelle Skulptur” widmet sich einem großen kreisförmigen Objekt. Was im Originalstück noch eine Nebenrolle spielte, wird hier nun zur Hauptfigur. Gemeinsam erforschen die Tänzerin und das Objekt die Transformation von Erschöpfungsschleifen in zyklische Prozesse der Regeneration und des Ressourcing. Sie navigieren durch Sphären von Arbeit, Care, Fiktion und Spiel, tauchen ein in die Poetik der Aufmerksamkeit, Zirkularität und subtilen Überraschung und eröffnen einen Raum für kontemplative Rekalibrierung.

What I intended with spin off, is to create a space where people could just be. A piece that doesn’t want anything from the spectator, but to open half an hour for contemplation, regeneration, or whatever you might happen to experience with the work. Where I simply invite you to enter into the world I am unfolding with the object - cyclical, tender, a little bit quirky. In visual arts mellow dramaturgies are common, and my wish is that they become more common in theatre and dance, too.
